Structure focused work with regular breaks
A Pomodoro timer alternates work periods with breaks. WClock starts with 25 minutes of focus, a 5-minute short break, and a 15-minute long break after four focus sessions. You can change these settings to fit the work you have chosen.
How to use this tool
- Choose one activity and set focus length, short break, long break, and sessions before a long break.
- Decide whether the next phase should start automatically, then start your focus session.
- Use breaks to step away from the task. Review completed sessions and adjust your next plan based on what you finished.
A practical example
For revision, choose one chapter for the first focus session. After the break, use the next session to answer practice questions instead of switching between unrelated subjects.
Common questions
Can I change the 25-minute focus duration?
Yes. This timer supports custom focus and break lengths. The default is a starting point; changing the timer settings lets you try a schedule that suits your task.
Is a timer the whole Pomodoro Technique?
No. The method also includes planning, handling interruptions, recording effort, and reflecting on estimates. This tool provides the session timer and progress count; it does not implement the entire method or guarantee a productivity result.
