A practical example
A person born on June 15, 2000 is 25 years, 0 months, and 0 days old on June 15, 2025. The day before that birthday, they have not yet completed their 25th year.
Common questions
How are February 29 birthdays handled?
This calculator uses February 28 as the birthday anniversary in non-leap years. This is the tool’s calculation convention; other systems may use March 1.
What happens when a month has no matching day?
Month anniversaries use the last available day. For example, a January 31 anniversary falls on the last day of February. Calendar months have different lengths, so the result is not calculated by treating every month as 30 days.
Does the calculator use my birth time?
No. It compares calendar dates without a time of day. Total days is the date distance, and the result does not measure your age down to hours, minutes, or seconds.
