Frequently asked questions
How do alarms work?
Choose an hour and minute in your device’s local time, name your alarm, and set it. Times that have already passed are scheduled for tomorrow. Add as many reminders as you need; choose daily repeats or snooze a ringing alarm for five minutes.
Will my alarm work if I leave this page?
Alarms and timers continue on other WClock pages. Keep at least one tab open, your device awake, and sound enabled. A browser cannot reliably ring when it is closed or your device is asleep. Use Test sound before relying on an alert.
Can I change the clock’s appearance?
Open Settings for digital digits, 12 or 24-hour time, seconds, date, colors, and night mode. Use the controls on the display to resize, share, embed, or go full screen. Preferences are saved on this browser when storage is available.
Set an online alarm for a specific time
An alarm clock rings at a chosen local time, while a countdown timer runs for a duration. Use this browser alarm for a meeting reminder, a study break, or another time you want to remember while working at your device.
How to use this tool
- Choose the local alarm time and add a name so you know what the reminder is for.
- Select a sound and volume, test the sound, and choose daily repeat if needed before saving.
- Keep WClock open and your device awake. When the alert appears, dismiss it or snooze for five minutes.
A practical example
For a daily 9:00 meeting reminder, set the time to 09:00 and enable daily repeat. For a reminder 20 minutes from now, use the timer instead.
Common questions
Will an online alarm ring if my laptop is asleep?
Do not rely on it while your device is asleep or the browser is closed. Browser pages cannot reliably run alerts in those conditions. Test the sound and keep the device awake for the reminder.
Are my alarms shared across devices?
Saved alarms belong to this browser’s local storage. They are not an account-based sync service; another browser or device has its own alarms, and clearing site data can remove them.
